Dennis Passalaqua, 80, passed away Saturday, August 26, 2023, in Checotah, OK. Dennis was born on February 8, 1943, in Vallejo, CA, to Joseph and Nannadee (Hensley) Passalaqua. In 1960, he graduated from Vallejo High School. Dennis married Patti Jeffcoat on December 31, 1974, in Vallejo, CA. He was a longtime resident of Covelo, CA, where he lived for over thirty years. He worked for the California Department of Transportation, as a Maintenance Supervisor, making sure the roadways were cleared for all. He also volunteered to help cook at many fundraising events and weddings. Dennis was a member of the Booster Club, Lions Club and the NRA. He was a true outdoorsman, he loved hunting, fishing, and abalone diving. In his younger years he owned and built numerous hotrods and also participated in hill climbing events with his custom Jeep. Dennis was a well respected member of the Covelo community, who didn't hesitate to donate his time and love to anyone in need.
Dennis is survived by his wife Patti Passalaqua of Checotah, OK; son, Curtis Passalaqua (Mary) of Hanna, OK; daughter, DeAnna Orlando (John) of Chico, CA; grandsons, Jack and Abe Passalaqua, brother-in-law Dave Jeffcoat (Denise) and nieces Candice and Angela, sister-in-law Mary Jeffcoat and numerous family members in the Modesto, CA area. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Nannadee Passalaqua, and brother-in-law Mike Jeffcoat. Special thanks to the Arnold family for their support and love. A graveside service will be held 10:00 AM, Friday, September 1, 2023 at the Campbell Ranch Cemetery. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.hbmfuneralhome.com.
