Dennis Peters Obituary
Dennis was a proud alumnus of Purdue University and he dedicated many years to Peters Heating and Air Conditioning. He was an active member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, contributing in a variety of leadership positions and service ministries.
A private memorial service was held at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with Pastor Doug Bauman officiating. Private inurnment was held at Garland Brook Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, through the funeral home.
Survivors include his brothers, Mitchell E. (Martha) Peters of Columbus, IN, and David B. Peters of Bettendorf, IA; nephew, Aaron M. (Heather L.) Peters of Columbus, IN; great niece and nephew, Gabriela L. (Noah) Czereszko of Columbus, IN and Elijah A. Peters of Cincinnati, OH; great-great nephews, December and Wyndham Czereszko of Columbus, IN.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Phyllis Peters and a nephew, Jason A. Peters.

Dennis and I were good friends many years ago. Spent a lot of time in his family's basement playing pool. Lots of football, basketball, and baseball games. He and I worked for his Dad one Summer. So sorry to hear if his passing, and wish for comfort for those who loved him. I am sure he will be sorely missed.

Dennis and I grew up two streets away from each other in East Everroad Park. He was two years ahead of me in school and was a great guy! I still have a lot of fond memories regarding playing basketball and baseball with him in our neighborhood. He always had a great sense of humor.
The last time I saw Denny was at Otter Creek Golf Course several years ago. We had a great time playing nine holes with each other and exchanging memories regarding our childhood.
My condolences regarding the passing of Denny. A lot of people are going to miss him.

So sorry to hear of his passing. We were friends from Hoosier Hills Club. He was very instrumental in helping me with firearms. He was patient, helpful,and kind. He was a wealth of knowledge and I enjoyed his friendship and conversations. I will miss him. Prayers to his family.
