Dennis James Prochaska, 54, of Martins Ferry, passed away on Friday December 2, 2022 at home, after a strong and hard fought battle with ALS.
He was born February 1, 1968, in Follansbee, WV, son of the late James and Nancy (Fordyce) Prochaska.
Dennis had his own business, CSP Productions, where he made sports apparel for the various teams throughout the valley. Dennis had a love for serving area youth and had a passion for coaching many different sports. His favorite expression to his youth athletes was, "You get what you work for, not what you wish for", hard work pays off. Dennis had a love for music and was known to most of his friends as the Karaoke King. He really enjoyed singing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Edsil Prunty.
He is survived by his loving fiance, Carmetta Prochaska of Martins Ferry, OH; three sons, Travis (Maddie) Prochaska of Valley Grove, WV, Troy (Jazmine) Prochaska of Valley Grove, WV, Trent (Tess) Prochaska of Dallas, WV; step children, Tiffany Principe and son Ryland, Chelsea (JJ) Principe; his sister, Joyce Prunty of Charleston, WV; grandchildren, Paislee Prochaska, Jackson Prochaska; nephew, Christopher (Cassi) Prunty and his favorite kitty "Fancy".
Friends will be received on Tuesday December 6, 2022 from 11 am to 1 pm and again from 3 pm to time of service at 5 pm at Kepner Funeral Homes, 166 Kruger St., Wheeling (304-242-2311).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Valley Hospice or the ALS foundation.
