It is with deep sorrow that we share the news of the passing of Dennis Lee Prude, who departed from this world on November 18, 2025, in Davenport, Iowa. Dennis was a dedicated factory worker known for his exceptional work ethic, unwavering integrity, and commitment to excellence. His colleagues admired him not only for his dedication but also for his friendly demeanor that brightened even the most challenging workdays.
Dennis leaves behind his loving partner, Kimberly Scott, who has shared countless beautiful moments with him, and their children: Jordon, Tyler, and Opal Scott. Known for his nurturing nature, Dennis took great joy in being an active presence in his children's lives, offering guidance and support as they grew. He also cherished the close bond he had with his sisters, Lisa, Vicki and Holly Prude, whose laughter and companionship he treasured throughout his life.
As a proud grandfather, Dennis delighted in the company of his four grandchildren: Emyla Scott-Welch, Elijah Scott-Reid, Hakeem Welch, and Kato Jefferies. He relished every moment spent with them, creating memories filled with love, wisdom, and laughter. Additionally, his heart expanded to accommodate his two great-grandchildren, Jeniyah Stewart-Scott and Kyair Welch, who brought him immense joy and pride.
Dennis was predeceased by his beloved parents, Lee and Jacquelyn Prude, whose values of love and kindness he carried with him throughout his life. He will be fondly remembered for the boundless love he showed his family and the generous spirit that touched the lives of all who knew him.
Funeral services to honor Dennis's life and legacy will take place on December 3, 2025, at Orrs Mortuary from 2 PM - 5 PM, followed by a repast at The Columbus Club, 1111 W 35th St, Davenport, IA 52806. Friends, family, and all who were touched by his warmth and kindness are invited to gather and celebrate the remarkable life he led.
In memory of Dennis, we encourage everyone to reflect on the moments of kindness he shared and the joy he brought to their lives, inspiring us to carry forward his legacy of love and generosity. He really enjoyed his cousins, Nicole Banks, along with the Newman family.
