EAST DUBUQUE, IL – Dennis R. Raisbeck, age 84, of East Dubuque, IL, passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at his home. He was born on March 22, 1940. Dennis attended Lancaster schools and worked in construction most of his life. On January 23, 1971, Dennis was united in marriage to Elizabeth “Betty” Redman in East Dubuque, IL. After their marriage, the couple made their home in East Dubuque and raised their children, Sandy and Rick. Dennis was a private man who cherished his time spent sitting outdoors with his beloved dog, Buddy. He didn’t have much to say, except if you would ask him about the past and how he knew a specific person. Although Dennis was a simple man, he left a lasting impression on those who knew him.
Survivors include his loving wife, Betty; his children, Sandy Raisbeck, Lancaster, and Rick Raisbeck, at home; his three grandchildren: Drew Hromadka, Lancaster, Noah Hromadka, Platteville, and Ella Mumm, Lancaster; his beloved dog, Buddy; his in-laws: Barb (Bob) Kroll, East Dubuque, IL, Mike (Nancy) Moore, Potosi, and Dan (Chong) Redman, Lawton, OK.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 3, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. Noon at Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory in Lancaster with Pastor Mark Hoehne officiating. Burial will be in Hurricane Cemetery, South Lancaster Township. Family and friends may visit on Monday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.
