Dennis Robertson Obituary
Dennis Rue “Denny” Robertson, son of the late William Robertson and Mary Livingston-Robertson, was born on July 10, 1953 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri and departed this life to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at The Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, at the age of 72 years.
He was a truck driver and carpenter by trade, but to his family he was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, and a veteran of the United States Army. Mr. Robertson was a member of the Randles Pentecostal Church and resident of Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
In 1974, he was united in marriage to Virginia Marie Hess in Perkins, Missouri. Mrs. Robertson survives of the home in Cape Girardeau.
Along with his wife, survivors include one son, Bradley (Sarah) Hess of Gordonville, Missouri; one daughter Denise (Ross) Gartman of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; two brothers: Rick and Randy Robertson; two sisters: Peggy Tomiewiez and Cindy Rhodes; six grandchildren: Kassy (David) Baumgartner, Hannah (Jared) Powell, Dalton Lacy, Jessie Gartman, Bradley (Lydia) Hess Jr., and Sydney Gartman; and four great-grandchildren.
To everyone else, he was just Denny, who was always there to help when needed, and a laugh that would lighten any load. He had a big personality which means he never met a stranger and he was going to tell you what he thought, whether it was standing by his truck or in the pulpit.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 1, 2025 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee. Funeral Services will be conducted on Thursday, October 2, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. with Bro. David McCormick officiating. Interment will follow in the Williams Cemetery in Perkins, Missouri.
Pallbearers will be: Dalton Lacy, Bradley Hess Jr., David Baumgartner, Jared Powell, A.J. Seyer, and Robert Trankle.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made in Denny’s honor to:
