Dennis Michael Robertson was born April 2, 1947, in Texas. He was known to many by his nickname, "Slim". He grew up in Galveston, Texas where he graduated high school. He later furthered his education with college courses and seminary training. On February 18, 1995, Slim was united in marriage to Delores Ann Kehoe. To this union he added to his family her children: Dawn, Fran, and Robert. Delores and Slim were blessed to share thirty years of marriage, laughter, and lasting memories. He loved and cared for Delores until the Lord called him home. Slim truly treasured his family and cherished the memories they made together. His stepchildren meant the world to him, and they loved him deeply. He adored his grandchildren and loved watching them grow. Aside from his family, he had great love for his dog Chipper. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 3422 where he often played pool and spent time with friends. Slim also enjoyed dancing. Slim was a believer in Christ and would attend Redeeming Grace Ministries with his wife. He also worked many years for McDonalds Corporation where he was a maintenance man for multiple stores in the area. Slim passed away September 23, 2025, in Salem, Missouri, at the age of seventy-eight years. He leaves behind his loving wife: Delores Robertson of Salem, MO; stepchildren: Dawn Reed and husband Casey of Salem, MO, Fran Serjun and husband Bob of O'Fallon, MO, Robert Behrens of Farmington, MO; as well as several grandchildren, other relatives, and dear friends. Slim will be remembered for his kindness and friendship he shared with those around him. He had a contagious smile that will never be forgotten. He will be forever missed by those who knew and loved him. There will be a Memorial Service on Sunday, October 5, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at the Wilson Family Center in Salem, Missouri. Visitation and refreshments will follow the service until 5:00 p.m. The family is welcoming all family & friends at this time of remembrance.
