Dennis Paul Salisbury, age 71, of Roosevelt, passed away August 10, 2024, at his home after a battle with cancer.

He was born November 4, 1952, in Belfast, Maine, to Harvard and Louise Stewart Salisbury. He married Karen Diann Wiswell on December 12, 1973, in the Salt Lake Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Dennis was a full blown musician! He loved music and graduated with his bachelors in Music and German. He could play just about any instrument, other than the reed instruments. He performed in various plays and musicals throughout the years, both as an actor or as a musician in the orchestra. He worked as a truck driver and as a substitute teacher. He loved the students and could get them to excel in their studies. He had a knack for writing and telling stories, was an avid gardener, and an excellent cook.

He was active in The Church, and he and Karen had been serving a mission in the Iowa City, Iowa, Mission when he was diagnosed with cancer.

Dennis is survived by his wife of 50 years, Karen, of Roosevelt; children, Curtis Salisbury, Salt Lake City; Michael David (Corrine) Salisbury, Las Cruces, New Mexico; Steven Aaron Salisbury, Colorado; Dianna Joyce Fisher (Eric Peltier), North Pole, Alaska; George Washington Salisbury, Salt Lake City; Wesley Hazen Salisbury, Salt Lake City; Adam Paul Salisbury, Kansas; grandchildren, Isaac, Jesse, Hannah, Simeon, Ammon, Joshua, Leah, Tanisha, Aaron, Dylan, Anthony, Ryan, Sierra, Kianna, Janet, Aspen, Lilliana; great-grandson, Russ; sister, Carol (Paul) Petersen, of Calais, Maine; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by infant twin sons, Benjamin Jonathan & Daniel Asher Salisbury; parents; a brother, Harvard; and a grandson, Jackson Salisbury.

Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at the Neola Chapel. Following the services military honors will be presented.

His cremated remains will be interred in the Belfast, Maine Cemetery near his sons, parents, and brother.
