Dennis L. Sechrist

Dennis LaMar Sechrist, 78, of Bremen, passed away unexpectedly at 6:09 pm, Monday, November 10, 2025 in Memorial Hospital of South Bend. Dennis was born on November 22, 1946, the son of the late Russel and Sarah (Gerard) Sechrist. On June 28, 1969, he married the Becky Stevens. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Becky, two children: Chad Sechrist of Bremen and Cheri (Jeff) Erickson of Mishawaka and three grandchildren: Trey and Keanen Erickson and Kaiden Sechrist. He is also survived by a sister, Carol (Stan) Bules of Bourbon and sister-in-law, Brenda (Eldon) Schlemmer of Mishawaka. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Robert Sechrist. Dennis proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. He was a dedicated and devoted member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church-Woodland, where he served as Deacon and Trustee. Dennis retired from Holiday Rambler/Monaco Coach. He was a loving husband, father and grandpa that was always there for everyone. Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 pm, Thursday, November 13, 2025 in Mishler Funeral Home, 2030 St Rd 331, Bremen. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 am, Friday, November 14, 2025 in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 15697 New Rd., Mishawaka, IN 46544, with one hour of visitation prior. Pastor Raymond Salemink will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Paul’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to be made to the church.
