Dennis Marvin Shindeldecker

Dennis Marvin "Marv" Shindeldecker, age 81, of Rockford died February 10, 2023 at his home. He was born February 4, 1942 in rural Rockford, to the late Victor and Wanda (Krugh) Shindeldecker. On July 1, 1961 he married Darlene Diane (Davis) Shindeldecker, who preceded him in death on November 22, 2019. Marv retired from Chrysler in Van Wert and was a lifelong farmer. He loved farming and was a friend to all. Surviving are two sons, Loren (Melanie) Shindeldecker and Troy (Stacie) Shindeldecker all of Rockford; and two daughters, Debra (Charles) Bauer of Convoy, and Jill (James) Leighner of Rockford. Also surviving are six grandsons, Zane and Ian Bauer of Convoy, Rick (Britney) Shindeldecker of Rockford, Collin (Kalie) Leighner of Van Wert, and Dennis and Justin Leighner of Rockford; five granddaughters, Amanda (Andrew) Peel of Rockford, Salina (Logan) Felver of West Liberty, Elizabeth, Addysin, and Saige Leigner all of Rockford; and nine great grandsons, Nolan, Carter, Grayson, Shawn, Davis, Runser, Gavin, Liam, and Theo; and one great granddaughter, Marcy. Marv was also preceded in death by two sisters, Donna Shindeldecker Now and Beverly Shindeldecker Edwards, and an infant brother, Danny Shindeldecker. Per Marv's request, private graveside services are being held at Riverside Cemetery in Rockford, with Pastor Chip Steffy officiating.
