Dennis passed away in Gilmer, TX on November 21, 2025, after a brief battle with cancer and dementia.

Dennis was born September 11, 1943, in Winona, MN, to Arthur and Lorraine Streuber. After graduating from Cotter High School in Winona he enlisted in the US Air Force and worked as a mechanic 1961-1965. Dennis continued work as a mechanic, until 1976 when he opened Streuber Construction. Many of the homes in the Denison area are his handy work. He retired from the construction business and in 2004 became an insurance adjuster, working hurricanes Hugo, Andrew and Katrina.

Dennis and his wife Betts adopted three little sisters, who survive him. Michelle Russell, Sylva, NC; Danielle Flanagan, Gilmer, TX; and Christina Whitworth (Anthony), Petal MS; as well as eleven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Survivors include brother Roger Schaefer (Rachel), Cincinnati, OH, sister Jean Bushnell (Gary), San Diego, CA, and Diane Haney, Fountain City, WI. He was preceded in death by spouse Brenda Streuber, parents Arthur and Lorraine Streuber, brother Michael Streuber, brother John Schaefer and grandson Cameron James Whitworth.

Hobbies included cooking, fishing, and driving his 1999 Ford pick-up. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and Elks Lodge 238, Denison.

Dennis will be missed by all he left behind and was loved more than he knew.

A memorial service for Mr. Streuber will be held at later time.
