Dennis Richard Sullivan was born on December 8, 1960, in Santa Maria, California, to Richard A. and Lois A. (Roberts) Sullivan. He spent his youth traveling from California, Colorado, New Hampshire, Wisconsin, and Minnesota, due to his father’s service in the United States Air Force. The family settled in Graceville, MN, in 1972, where he spent the rest of his youth.
Upon moving to Arkansas in 1993, he opened Sullivan’s Body Shop where he completed auto body repair and painted custom motorcycle parts. He was known for his precision and attention to detail.
He married the love of his life, Tracy Sullivan (Herting), in 1995. He was proud of his beautiful lake home, in which he went to great lengths to remodel and landscape. He spent many evenings fishing for bluegill and listening to country music. He enjoyed hosting parties, playing pool, and cooking BBQ on the grill. In the winter time, you could find him crafting the perfect fire to keep the house well heated.
While his first love was a Pontiac Firebird, he had a lifelong passion for motorcycles. He found leisure in taking scenic bike trips. In his last months, he enjoyed visits from his family, but especially his grandchildren who would bring him a strawberry shake. His love for others was immense.
He is survived by children: Denise (John) Capwell of Fayetteville, AR; Bessie (Carl) Alexander of Lowell, AR; and Jeff (Jo) Queen of Omaha, NE; his mother, Lois Sullivan (Roberts) of Bella Vista, AR; his siblings: Brian (Tracy) Sullivan of Gambrills MD; Patricia Borrell of Waverly, MN; and Michele (Roger) Sobiech of Bella Vista, AR; and several beloved grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Richard Sullivan.
