Dennis (Demosthenes) Tripodis, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on October 28, 2025, one day before his 92nd birthday. Born in Ikaria, Greece, on October 29, 1933, he came to America in 1952 with determination and a dream. Dennis began his career in the restaurant industry in Los Angeles before settling in Gary, IN, where he met his soulmate, Stamatoula (Stella). They married in 1957 and were blessed with two children, Dino and Maria. He later fulfilled his dream of restaurant ownership, opening Arman's in 1973 and Dino's in 1979, becoming a beloved figure in the Michiana dining community. Known for his warmth and hospitality, he welcomed every guest as family. His legacy continues through his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and the restaurant tradition he inspired. He is survived by his children, Dino and Maria; grandchildren, Athena, Demosthenes, Symone, Valanti, and Stella; great-grandchildren, Daniel, Theodore, and Noe; and many loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his devoted wife, Stella. In later years, he divided his time between Ikaria and the U.S., cherishing family and lifelong friends. Visitation at Burns Funeral Home, 10101 Broadway, Crown Point, IN, November 19, 2025, from 4 pm to 8 pm. He will be laid to rest beside Stella.

To Dino and Maria and the Tripodis Family,
I want to express my sincerest condolences on the passing of your father Dennis.
I have known him since I was a teenager running around with the judge with our hair on fire
While Dennis and his brother in law Manual, would be laughing at our antics. He and Stella were so nice to me growing up and I never forgot it.
