Dennis Jay Veach, aged 83, departed this world suddenly on November 7, 2025, finding eternal peace in the presence of his Savior. Though our hearts are heavy, we celebrate a life lived with joy, curiosity, and generosity. Dennis embraced every day - from early-morning coffee to long conversations with family and friends. He taught us to laugh often, love deeply, and never pass up a chance to enjoy a good story. We are grateful for every memory and every moment shared.
Dennis married the love of his life, Marylin Ann Veach, on August 10, 1962. They moved to Texas in 1968 and Dennis worked as a machinist until his retirement in 1999. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. A man of steadfast Christian faith, Dennis devoted himself to serving others and took on many responsibilities in his church over the course of his life. He served the community through the years on the Crowley Volunteer Fire Department and as a Volunteer at Huguley Hospital.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, J. W. and Evelyn Veach, his daughter Susan, and his brothers, Donald and Dale. He is survived by his wife, Marylin Ann Veach and two daughters Melanie Kirkland and husband Jerry; and Denise Wager and husband Daniel. Beloved grandchildren Tiffany Haines and husband, Spencer; Cameron Kirkland and wife, Chelsea; Elizabeth Wager and fiancé, Jake; and Jessica Wager. Treasured great-grandchildren, Fletcher Haines, Eleanor Haines, and Cadence Kirkland. He is also survived by his sister, Sharon Baggett, and by many nieces and nephews who held a special place in his heart.
A celebration of Dennis's life will be held on November 18, 2025 at Mountain Valley Funeral Home, located at 3407 SW Wilshire Blvd., Joshua, Texas at 1:00 p.m. Visitation will take place at Mountain Valley Funeral Home on November 17, 2025 from 6:00 pm through 8:00 pm.
