Dennis Joseph Vicknair

Graveside service for Mr. Dennis Joseph Vicknair, 59, of Sterlington, LA, will be at 2:00PM Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at Ouachita City Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Rd. Monroe, LA. Dennis Vicknair was born and raised in Baton Rouge, LA but resided in Sterlington, LA, to be near his sister, for the last 5 years.

Dennis enjoyed being outdoors in nature, deer hunting, and fishing. He loved cooking old recipes for his friends and family. And Boy, could he cook! He also had a passion for singing and country music. He loved & adored his daughter, Whitlee, and his three grandchildren. Dennis valued every moment he was able to spend with his close family. He was a dedicated and faithful man of God and read his bible every day. Dennis lived a tough life over the years, but found peace, sobriety, family, the Lord, and his faith again over the last 5 years. Dennis fought with many health battles over the last few years but would always keep a positive attitude and did not give up. He would always say “I KNOW where I am going, heaven! Me and the Lord are good”. Although Dennis was taken from this earth so suddenly and unexpectedly, there is some peace in knowing how joyful he was during his last days and how proud he was to have had an amazing relationship with his daughter, grandchildren, and God.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Jacob Vicknair, Sr. and Claudia Isola Wax Vicknair; and brother, Jake Vicknair.

Survivors include his daughter, Whitlee Webb and husband Ballard; grandchildren, Kanon, Kase, and Abigail Webb; sisters, Jolynn LeBlanc and Debra Bell; brother, Kerry Vicknair and wife Liz; special niece, Darrian LeBlanc; and numerous other nieces, nephews, and friends.

Pallbearers will be Colt Bell, Ballard Webb, Jack Jones, Darrin LeBlanc, Chris Jones, Tim Jones, and Blaine Thibodeaux.
