Dennis Lee Walden, 77, passed away January 24, 2026, surrounded by his loving daughters.
Dennis Lee Walden was born February15, 1948, in
Eugene, Oregon. He was the beloved son of the late Edgar "Bud" and Lois Jeanne Walden.
Dennis graduated from Monroe Union High School. He served his country in the US Army from 1966-1969. Following his honorable discharge Dennis began his career as a truck driver for Mutual Produce AKA Foster Farms/Fircrest Farms, when it came time for him to retire, he decided to go back to work one of many times to his first job in high school, Horning Farms in Monroe, OR where he spent many long hours working and driving for Eric Horning. He will be missed by his co-workers and considered many of them great friends.
Dennis was a lifelong fan and supporter of everything OSU Beavers. So much so that he painted his farm truck with orange and black striping, proudly displaying OSU Beaver flags on each window, and had a license placard that read "#1 Beaver Fan". He was a loyal football season ticket holder and especially enjoyed listening to the men's and women's basketball games on his radio. He was a huge fan of the Joe Beaver Show and Mike Parker.
Dennis is survived by his only brother Mike Walden, Uncle Don (Sharon) Reader, Aunt Nancy Reader, daughters Traci (Brad) Walden, Kimberly (Vince) Emge, and Heidi (Josh) Vahala. Grandsons, Travis Brown, Zakary (Kirsten) Walden, Nicholas (LeighAnn) Gay, and Ryan Adams, and great grandchildren June Brown and Rhodes Gay, his partner Angela Godwin, and numerous cousins.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, his uncles and aunts Jerry Reader and Tom (Sandra) Reader.
