Mr. Denny Neal, age 69, of the Flat Creek Community in Williamson County, TN passed away on Saturday, October 12, 2024 in Alabama. He was a native of Williamson County, TN and the son of the late Richard Austin “Hap” Neal and Annie Lee Hazelwood Neal. He was a long time truck driver and a member of Mt. Carmel Presbyterian Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Sheila Neal Clark.
Denny loved music, especially bluegrass and country. He loved family gatherings and cooking barbeque. He enjoyed fishing and mule and horse shows. Denny was always the life of the party, picking at everyone with his laugh and big smile! Most of all, he loved his family time with his grandchildren, following them with their ball teams and 4-H club activities.
Denny is survived by his son, Nathan (Allison) Neal of Pulaski, TN; 3 grandchildren, Holston, Hollis, and Ruthie Joy Neal; brother-in-law, John Robert Clark of Spring Hill, TN; nephew, Michael (Denise) Clark; and many loving cousins and friends.
Visitation with the family will be on Wednesday, October 16, 2024 from 5 PM until 8 PM at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will be conducted at 10 AM on Thursday, October 17, 2024 from the Chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Ward Jones officiating. Interment will follow at the Hurt-Neal Cemetery in the Flat Creek Community of Williamson County, TN.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to the Giles County 4-H Club or a charity of your choice.
