Denver Gray Blosser, age 88, passed away peacefully on August 15, 2024, at Life Care Center of Hendersonville in Hendersonville, NC. Denver was born December 17, 1935, in Spencer, West Virginia to his late parents, Ruth and Guy Blosser. He was proceeded in death by his two sisters, June Marie Logsdon and Alcie May Smith, his first wife of 47 years, Audrey Carol (Wolff) Blosser and his second wife of 17 years, Margaret "Peg" (Johnson) Blosser. Denver is survived by his siblings, George Blosser of Rutland, Vermont and Sandralee Blosser of Harrisburg PA; his children, Elizabeth (Brian) McCormick of Flat Rock, NC, and Burt (Deborah) Blosser of Powell, Ohio; his grandchildren Samantha (Brenton) Allen, Stephanie Haft, Alexis Blosser, Andrew Blosser, Matthew (Aleesha) McCormick, Jennifer (Patrick) Horn, and Sarah (Jake) Albert.
Denver graduated from Belpre High School (Ohio) and went on to earn a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati (1960). Upon graduating, he joined Ohio Edison, as a Junior Engineer and held numerous positions including Associate Engineer, Division Engineer, Superintendent of Transmission and Distribution, and Division Manager, from which he retired after 34 years.
He was passionate about giving back to his community, actively participating in Sertoma and various organizations including the Red Cross, Boy Scouts, Junior Achievement, Chambers of Commerce, United Way, YMCA, Rotary and the SPCA. He was a member of St. John's Methodist Church (Aiken, SC). In retirement, he enjoyed international travel, golfing, and spending Thanksgiving with his family in Hilton Head. His family will always remember him for his unwavering faith, kindness and generosity.
The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the staff and caregivers at the Life Care Center of Hendersonville and Four Seasons Hospice.
