Obituary of Denzel James De'Shields

Born on May 23, 1993, in Baltimore, MD to Mamie Louise Abraham and James Andrew Dashields. He departed this life suddenly on December 5, 2025.

Denzel affectionately known as "DJ" and "Denzy" by family and friends, attended Fredrick Douglas High school in Baltimore, where he received his high school diploma in June 2012. He also attended BCCC after graduation, he also obtained a certification in Phlebotomy. Shortly after high school, DJ obtained employment at Stevenson University in the Food Service Department. Where he gained a lot of friends. He worked a short period of time at Mercy Medical Center. He moved on to employment at John's Hopkins Hospital as a Loading Dock attendant and at the Marriot as a Valet Parking Attendant. His passion was helping others. He enjoyed concerts, and taking trips. He always had a joke. He also loved dancing and music, he had an old soul. He lived for a K. Michelle Concert or Album. He also loved the art of cooking, but not more than eating. He loved baking but loved a Patti Pie.

On Monday, December 22, 2025, friends may visit Vaughn Greene Funeral Services - East, 4905 York Road (21212); 4:00 - 7:00 PM. On Tuesday, December 23, 2025, a service for Mr. De'Shields will take place at Vaughn Greene Funeral Services - East, where the family will receive friends from 10:30 – 11:00 AM with services to follow. The interment will take place at King Memorial Park.
