Derek Drummer Obituary
Derek had a larger-than-life personality and a heart full of compassion. He loved his family fiercely and believed in giving everyone the benefit of the doubt. His passions included music-especially Rammstein-coffee, cigarettes, and living life on his own terms. A devoted Minnesota sports fan, Derek cheered passionately for every team that bore the state's name.
Derek is survived by his mother Sandi Drummer, father Tom Maleitzke (Kathy), son Coel (Keisha), twin brother Damian (Erin), brothers Dustan (Mary) Dallas (Ashley), sisters Mollie (Chris) and Jennie (Jeremy), special cousin Tina (Chris) and step children Kalee (James), Timothy (Lou), and Darian. His heart carried ongoing love for his grandchildren Dean, Juniper, Ainz and Zico, many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and friend and ex-wife Jana. He shared a special bond with his loyal canine companion, Kaiser.
A Ft. Snelling burial will be held on March 27, 2026 and Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
