Derek Fitchett Obituary
He is survived by his loving daughters, Amina Mitchell and Charnise Joyner; his siblings, Elvira Henry (Thomas), Venessa Prescott-Griffin (Richard), and Glander Fitchett Jr.; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Yvonne Batts and Gloria Bigger.
Viewing will be Sunday, December 21, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Cooke Bros. Funeral Chapel, 1601-27th Street, Newport News, Va. 23607. A funeral service will be held 12 Noon Monday, December 22, 2025 at the funeral chapel. Interment will follow in Hampton Memorial Gardens.
