Derek Harold Gerstenschlager, born January 4, 1958 in Santa Ana, California, died peacefully at home on March 1, 2024 after his valiant fight against cancer. He is survived by his wife, Stacey; four children, Nikolaus (Christina) Gerstenschlager, Natasha (Ryan) Wilson, Jenna (Chris) Rocha, and Jordan Schroeder; and four grandchildren Sebastian, Finley, Jackson, and Isabel. Derek was the life of the party and could always be found having a good time with his family and friends. He was an avid aviation enthusiast, loved to travel, and spend time on the lake with all his family and friends. The family will be honoring Derek’s life with a private ceremony. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in his memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital where a memorial fund has been established in his memory.
