A funeral to celebrate Derick's life will be 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 6, 2025 at the Jones Funeral Home Chapel in Richlands with a burial to follow at the Humphrey Family Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Friday September 5, 2025 at Jones Funeral Home in Richlands.
He will be remembered most for his kind heart, his steady faith, and the deep love he carried for his children and family. Derick found joy in the simple things that brought him peace - working in his yard, keeping his hands busy on cars, and sharing time with the people who mattered most. His quiet strength, his gentle spirit, and his unwavering love for the Lord touched everyone who knew him.
To his children, Derick was more than a father - he was a guiding light, a source of strength, and an example of unconditional love. His memory will live on in their hearts and in the lives he shaped through kindness, laughter, and faith.
