PIQUA -- Deron G. Deal, 56, of Piqua, passed away unexpectedly at 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at his residence. He was born March 18, 1965 in Troy to Viola (Mader) Deal of Piqua and the late Paul E. Deal. He married Gail L. Deal June 23, 1984 in Troy, and she preceded him in death just recently on July 25, 2021.
In addition to his mother, other survivors include three children, Randolph (Bristol) Maxon of Troy, Tonya (Nick Bryant) Maxon-Cole and James (Tara) Maxon all of Piqua; seven grandchildren, Gage, Deryan Gail, Brandon, Zariane (Angus), Raeghyn, Page, and Ciera; seven great grandchildren, Sophia, Alyveah, Kayden, Briez, Aubrilynn, Zayleigh, and Zayne; his siblings, Jerilyn Hershey of Troy, Merilee Deal of Piqua, and Mark (Carolyn) Deal of Casstown; his sister in law, Karen Deal of Piqua; also many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by a son, Robert Maxon Jr.; his brother, Randy Deal; and his brother in law, Jim Hershey.
Deron was a graduate of Piqua High School Class of 1984. He worked as a forklift operator at various places of employment. Deron enjoyed bowling and has multiple trophies from leagues and tournaments. He enjoyed sports, was especially an avid Cleveland Browns fan, and his favorite racecar driver was Dale Jarrett. Deron enjoyed going to concerts and seemed to know every song ever made. Deron loved the outdoors, going camping, and sitting outside enjoying the peaceful rain. He was always considered wild, crazy, and free, and he will surely be missed.
A service to honor his life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, September 13, 2021 at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home. Visitation will take place on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to one's favorite charity.
