Derona M. Graves

1960 - 2026

MARION, VA

Derona M. Graves, age 65, went to be with the Lord on March 26, 2026 at Francis Marion Manor in Marion, Virginia.  

She was born October 16, 1960, in Memphis, Tennessee, a daughter of the late Ray and Eveline Luther. Derona retired from Desoto Central Elementary as a teacher’s assistant in 2025.  Throughout her life, she enjoyed gardening, playing pool, caring for her dogs, and spending time with family. 

In addition to her parents, she was proceeded in death by two brothers, Ray Luther Jr. and Johnny Luther, and one sister, Patricia Duncan.  

She is survived by, one brother, Bobby Forkum; two sisters, Rose Bonds and Shelia Chambers; two daughters, Tiffany Faulkner and Jacquelyn Aycock; one son, Joseph Graves; and six grandchildren, Avery Faulkner, Aubrey Faulkner, Ava Caroline Aycock, Redding Aycock, Finley Graves, and Paisley Graves.
