On July 6, 2024, the world lost a bright light with the passing of Derrick Triplett, known fondly as Nick or Nicky. Derrick was born on November 8, 1967, in the bustling city of Chicago, Illinois. He spent his final moments in Las Vegas, NV.
Derrick led a life full of laughter and love, his quick wit and humor touching the hearts of all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He enlisted in the United States Army, showing his dedication to serving his country. Derrick's passion for grilling and barbecuing was unrivaled, as he delighted in bringing people together through delicious food and lively gatherings.
Derrick will be deeply missed by his beloved wife Kimberly Bradford Triplett, his son Derrick Triplett Jr., daughter Tatiana Triplett, Taylor Triplett, and Skylor Triplett and grandchildren who will carry on his legacy of kindness and joy. He is also survived by his siblings Carla Triplett, Jeffrey Triplett, and Felicia Triplett, along with brother-in-law Lester Davis Jr. In addition to his immediate family, Derrick leaves behind cherished furbaby Ryder.
He is now reunited in peace with his parents Zetherine and Roy Triplett, as well as his mother-in-law Rene Baker Davis.
A funeral service to celebrate Derrick's life will take place at Las Vegas Cremations on Charleston Blvd in Las Vegas on August 9, 2024. The service will begin at 10:00 AM and conclude at 2:00 PM.
Derrick's memory will forever remain alive in the hearts of all those who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in eternal peace as he grills up a storm in heaven's gardens
