Derwin D Cochrane

Derwin Dean Cochrane, 68, of Norman, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on November 29, 2025. He was born on July 22, 1957, in Buffalo, Missouri, and lived a life defined by faith, family, and a deep appreciation for the simple joys of the outdoors.

Derwin was preceded in death by his parents, Delbert and Jackie Cochrane, as well as his brother, Randy Cochrane. Their memories guided and grounded him throughout his life.

In June of 1996, Derwin married the love of his life, Rhonda, with whom he shared nearly 30 years of partnership, devotion, and countless treasured moments. He is survived by his wife, Rhonda; his children, Scott Cochrane and his wife Sherry, Crystal Justice and her husband Tyler, and Christopher Saltzmann; and his five grandchildren, Sydney Cochrane, Logan Justice, Kellen Cochrane, Lucas Justice, and Jacob Cochrane, all of whom brought immeasurable joy and pride to his life.

Derwin had a heart for adventure and the outdoors. He loved fishing, camping, traveling, riding horses, and enjoying the freedom of the open road on his motorcycle. Above all, he cherished time spent with his children and grandchildren, creating memories that will forever be held close by those who loved him.

A man of steadfast faith, Derwin believed deeply in God and in the eternal life granted through Jesus. His family takes comfort in knowing he is at peace and reunited with those who passed before him.

Funeral services will be held at Havenbrook Funeral Home, located at 3401 Havenbrook Street in Norman, Oklahoma, at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 3rd. Family and friends are invited to gather, remember, and celebrate the life of a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend.

Derwin's kindness, humor, and steadfast spirit will be deeply missed, but his legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
