Desiree Lee Evans

Desiree Lee Evans, 33, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, passed away on Monday, March 10, 2025. Born on April 12, 1991, in Louisville, Kentucky, to Christopher Evans and Windy Lee McGary, she left behind a legacy of creativity and warmth.
She was an aspiring neurosurgeon, drawn to the idea of healing the most delicate part of the human body. Bringing light into someone's day-whether through a kind word, a warm smile, or simply her presence-was what she loved most. Her heart was vast and boundless, and even in the darkest moments, she had a way of illuminating the lives around her
Desiree was a talented artist, specializing in abstract and realist styles. Known for her dark humor and love of singing. She was a gifted writer who poured her heart and imagination onto paper. Her family, particularly her siblings, provided unwavering support throughout her life. A devoted cat lover, her favorite companion was Lucky. She held a special place in her heart for her nieces and nephews, whom she adored.
She is survived by her father Christopher Evans of New Albany, IN; mother Windy Lee McGary of Jeffersonville, IN; son Michael Stephens of Jeffersonville, IN; sister Megan Evans of New Albany, IN; brother Christopher Luke Evans of Louisville, KY; nieces and nephews Elias, Raiden, and Riven.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at E.M. Coots' Sons Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 17, 2025, from 4-8:00 p.m. at E.M. Coots' Sons Funeral Home.
