Detective Lieutenant Kenneth Eugene "K.T." Taylor, 78, of Martinsville, formerly of Beech Grove, passed away Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at Indiana University Hospital in Indianapolis.
He was born Tuesday, July 20, 1943 to the late Kenneth and Lesta (Hunt) Taylor in Terre Haute, Indiana.
Kenneth attended law school at Indiana State before joining the police department. He retired from the Beech Grove Police Department in 1991 as a Detective Lieutenant. He loved being with his family and spending time outdoors. He was a very loving and giving husband, father, grandfather, and friend.
He is survived by his wife, Diana (Ferrand) Taylor; Kevin Taylor (Dawn), Kelly Ensminger (Dusty); stepdaughter, Becky Barnett; stepson, Jeffery Ferrand; siblings, Carolyn Behrman, Cathryn Rios, Don Faulkner, Ronald Taylor, Forest Butcher, Jr., Billy Taylor; 14 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren.
Preceding him in death are parents, Kenneth and Lesta; stepmother, Rosie Taylor; stepfather, Forest Butcher; brother, Jimmy Butcher; son, Kenny Taylor; daughter, Diane Doss.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, January 15, 2022 at Beech Grove Loyal Order of Moose #1883, 3320 South Emerson Avenue, Beech Grove, IN 46107 at time to be determined.
