Deven Borgen

Deven Borgen was born on February 29, 2008, in Olympia, Washington, to parents Ken and Kathy Borgen. He passed away on November 14, 2025, in Lacey, Washington, at the age of 17. Deven was a lifelong resident of Rainier, where he grew up surrounded by family, friends, and a tight-knit community. He was a senior at Rainier High School and was deeply involved in school life and athletics. He enjoyed spending time with friends and was passionate about basketball, track, long-distance running, snowboarding, and camping. He was admired for his enthusiasm and adventurous spirit. Deven was raised with love and devotion by Ken and Kathy, who guided him from infancy. He is survived by his grandparents, Ken and Kathy Borgen and Doris Borgen; and extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by Alex Borgen. A Celebration of Life will be held on December 6th at 1:00 p.m. at Living Water Church, located at 2200 18th Ave SE, Olympia, Washington. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Rainier High School's Sports Department at 308 2nd St. W, Rainier, WA 98576, in honor of Deven's love for athletics. Deven will be remembered for his kindness, energy, and the joy he brought to others. His presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
