Devin Black Obituary
Devin was born in Danville, Virginia on December 11, 1987. He was the son of Suzette (Suzie) Travis Bohannon and David Eugene Black. Devin leaves behind his beloved dogs, Romeo and Simba. He also leaves behind his stepfather, Steve Bohannon, his sister, Kimberly Black Conner (Jason Talbott), his half brother, Ian Black (Desh Black), his stepsister, Stephanie Swann (Clark Swann), his nephews, Travis Conner and Eli Conner, and his best friend, Blake Ellis of Raleigh, NC.
Devin graduated from George Washington High School in Danville, VA in 2006. He later graduated from Danville Community College in 2011 with a 4.0 GPA in Electrical and Electronics Engineering Technology.
Devin followed his heart to the city of Portland, Oregon in 2018. He and his dog, Romeo, traveled across the country in his van. He loved the outdoor life. His passions were rock climbing, mountain biking, hiking, but most of all his dogs.
Devin was an organ donor. He was able to donate his heart, lungs, kidneys, and liver. He leaves behind the gift of life to 5 organ recipients.
Devin's loved ones are requesting privacy during their time of grief. A private celebration of life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the following organizations: Donate Life America Oregon Humane Society 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline Boys & Girls Club of Portland
