DeVon Lamont English was born on July 27, 1977, at General Hospital in Louisville, KY. He was an only child born to Ann English and late father, Earl Deon Harris.

DeVon accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of St. Stephen Baptist Church. DeVon attended Shawnee High School where he graduated in 1989. He continued his studies at Simmons College of Kentucky earning a four-year degree of Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration.

During his four years; DeVon received three certifications: Award of Academic Excellence, Honor Award - Alpha Sigma Lambda, and Academic Honors in performance average of 3.40 and 3.74.

On December 24, 2025, DeVon English departed this life. He was a devoted son. He was preceded in death by his late father, Earl Deon Harris; grandmother, Versia English, two uncles and two aunties.

DeVon leaves to cherish his memory his loving mother, Ann English, and five uncles, George Reeves, Lee Reeves, Robert English, Thomas English, Cliffton English, and many beloved relatives. DeVon was a book reader. He enjoyed music. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation: 10am-12pm Saturday, January 10, 2026 at St. Stephen Church, 1018 So. 15th St., funeral service to follow at 12 noon.

Ann my thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time! I met Devon at Nortons and then met you. Devon always had a smile for me, and I returned that smile! He was truly a ray of Sunshine! Take your rest young man. You will be missed!
