Devon Lee Hochstetler, 56, of Middlebury, died at 1:15 pm on Sunday, March 15, at his residence after a brief illness. He was born on October 31, 1969, in LaGrange County, to Casper and Wilma (Bontrager) Hochstetler. On September 10, 1992, in Topeka he married Inez Lehman, she survives. Survivors in addition to his wife are two sons, Daryle (Stephanie) Hochstetler of Guthrie, OK, Dustin Hochstetler of New Paris; two daughters, Lori (Brad) Hoyer of Coldwater, MI, Eva (Benjamin) Little of Dayton, OH; four grandsons; three sisters, Cheryl Hershberger, Brenda (Roy) Schlabach, Karen (Dale) Slabach, all of Shipshewana; three brothers, Gerald (Ruth) Hochstetler of Sturgis, MI, Lyle (Fannie Mae) Hochstetler, Joe (Amy) Hochstetler, both of Shipshewana. He was preceded in death by his mother and nephew, Keith Slabach. Devon worked in the RV industry for over 20 years. Most recently he was at Coachman serving as a general manager and engineer. He was a lifelong learner, his curiosity led him to pick up many hobbies and interests. Some of his favorites include tinkering in his machine shop and taking the occasional ride on his motorcycle. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and a faithful member of his church. A private graveside service will be held at Thomas Cemetery. There will be a 2:00 pm memorial service on Sunday, March 29, at Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, Middlebury. Online condolences may be offered at millerstewartfuneralhome.com.
