Devon D. Knight

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Devon D. Knight, who went home to be with the Lord on December 20, 2024. Born on July 6, 1988, Devon was a cherished son, grandson, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend. Devon was a passionate sports enthusiast, proudly rooting for the Cleveland Browns and The Ohio State Buckeyes. His love for sports was matched only by his joy in connecting with others, especially children. Known for his gorgeous smile, infectious laughter, outgoing personality and generous nature. He often shared snacks and candy with all of the neighbor kids, especially during the Holidays, embodying the spirit of joy and community.
Devon was preceded in death by his son, Devon Knight Jr.; and grandparents, Rev. Willie D. and Ora Bell Knight.
He leaves behind his beloved mother, Darlene Morgan, whose love and support were unwavering; siblings, Melrissa Knight, David Morgan; nephew, David Morgan Jr.; grandmother, Connie Sue Boggs; special daughter, Lariah Knight; special aunt, Andrea Knight; special friends, Brandon Owens, Charles Taylor, Mike Parish, Tommy Harris, and Dani Ede; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will forever hold his memory close.
Devon's playful spirit and delightful company will be missed deeply by all who knew him. His family expresses heartfelt gratitude to everyone who stood by him, especially his friends that brought him immense happiness. And a special thank you to Mercy Hospice for all of the care provided to Devon and his family. He loved you all and appreciated your support.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, January 3, 2025 from 10 AM to 12 PM at Indian Run Christian Church, 8368 Hill Church St SE, East Canton, OH 44730. Service, officiated by Pastor Hubert M. Carpenter and Pastor Terry Bailey, will follow at 12 PM. He will be laid to rest at Forest Hill Cemetery.
