Devon Anne McCasland Gonzalez, a beloved wife, mother, and friend, passed away in San Antonio, Texas. She was a strong woman known for her leadership qualities and unwavering devotion to her family. Her journey began on March 21, 1973, in San Antonio, where she was raised by her grandmother, Virginia "Nonnie" Hess. Devon is preceded in death by her loving mother Renee Burnett; grandmother "Nonnie"; step-father Patrick Burnett; grandfather Arthur D. Rhodes; uncle Chuck Nowell; uncle George Puente and aunt Idalia Puente.

Throughout her life, Devon found joy in the simple moments shared with her family. She treasured the annual summer vacations at the beach, watching her children play in the ocean, and enjoying the beautiful days with her husband on the sandy shores. Her commitment to her family was unmatched, as she dedicated herself wholeheartedly to their well-being.

Devon's vibrant personality shown through her love for interior design, painting, and home renovation projects. She had a keen eye for beauty and would often find unique art pieces and furniture at estate sales. In addition to this, she cherished moments spent at concerts with her husband and children.

One of Devon's proudest accomplishments was raising her children to be strong, determined individuals who excelled in both their academic pursuits and sports activities. She instilled in them values of strength, resilience, and empathy that will forever be a testament to her guidance.

Devon leaves behind a legacy of love and strength that will be carried on by her surviving family members: her devoted husband James Roy Gonzalez; her son Jack Christian Gonzalez; her daughter Brooklyn Olivia Gonzalez; her father-in-law Roy Raul Gonzalez; mother-in-law Dolores Puente Gonzalez; sister-in-law Bernadette Lynn Gonzalez; aunt Valerie Nowell; cousin Kip Joyner; along with numerous other relatives and friends who will deeply miss her presence.

In honoring Devon Anne McCasland Gonzalez's memory, let us remember her as a beacon of love, dedication, and grace who touched the lives of all who knew her. May she rest in peace knowing that her legacy lives on through those she held dear.
