Devon Smith Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Devon Kaci Smith, age 33, of Savannah, Georgia, who left us unexpectedly on Friday, February 28, 2025, at her residence. Devon's vibrant spirit and infectious laughter will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Born with a passion for beauty and creativity, Devon dedicated her life to the art of hair, make-up, and fashion. After spending several years in the picturesque landscapes of Denver, Colorado, she returned to her roots in Georgia, where she continued to shine as a licensed cosmetologist in both states. Her talent and dedication not only transformed her clients' appearances but also uplifted their spirits, making her a beloved figure in the community.

Devon is survived by her loving mother, Sabrina Smith; her devoted sister, Meghan Smith; her cherished grandmother, Joyce Smith; her supportive step-father, Tim Smith; and her step-sister, Casey Barker; and her life-long friend and adopted family member, Kyle Petrucelli; and others too numerous to mention. Each of them will forever carry a piece of her vibrant spirit in their hearts.

Devon was more than just a talented cosmetologist; she was a ray of sunshine, a loyal friend, and a source of joy to many. Her warmth and kindness touched the lives of her clients, coworkers, friends, and extended family, leaving an indelible mark on all who were fortunate enough to cross her path.

A memorial service to celebrate Devon's life will be held on Friday, March 14, 2025, at 6 PM at the Isle of Hope Marina in Savannah, Georgia. We invite all who knew and loved Devon to join us in honoring her memory and sharing stories of the light she brought into our lives.

Devon Kaci Smith will forever be remembered for her radiant smile, her unwavering friendship, and her passion for making the world a more beautiful place. May she rest in peace, knowing she was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.

I'll miss Devon dearly. Always a bright light, positive spirit, and reliable friend. My wife Sheri and I could always rely on her to hang at the pool or watch our cats when we were out of town. One time in2020 we were out at dinner where she confused mozzarella balls with quail eggs. With a plate half full of eggs instead of cheese, she asked Sheri and I to help. I think we each ate 15 eggs each. What a beautiful person, animal lover, and friend. We'll miss you.

Devon was a bright spirit and a truly lovely person. She had an energy that lit up any room, and she was a chatterbox in all the best ways-always full of stories, laughter, and warmth. As a hairstylist, she was incredibly talented, creating beauty with her hands just as effortlessly as she did with her presence. I had the privilege of working with her for several years at Fleur Salon, and she was a joy to be around.

I adored Devon-late arrivals and all-and I always will. I only wish I had stayed in closer touch after she moved on. She was someone worth knowing, worth remembering, and certainly worth missing.

Rest easy, Devon. You were loved more than you knew.
