Devonna Oliver Gammill's 68-year journey came to a peaceful end Monday evening, November 3rd 2025, in the company of family, surrounded by love. Her journey began in Chattanooga, TN on November 12th, 1956, with loving parents, the late Donnie and Shirley Oliver, whose company she now enjoys again. Those left to remember her still are her high-school sweetheart and husband of 47 years, Charlie Gammill; sons, Adam (Shanna) and Wesley (Brandy) Gammill; grandchildren, Cameron Gammill (Monica), Preston Gammill (Emma), Carter Gammill (Baylee), Jace Gammill, Toby Aronson (Keith), and Ethan Bowling (Abby); siblings James (Karen) and Donna Oliver; and nieces/nephews Carol Lee, Lori, Tyler, Mathew, and Megan. She led a simple, but large life with many highlights and much love. In her early years, she was a full-time baseball mom, a Boy-Scouts Troop Leader, and loyal Peyton's employee, where she was known as 'Dee'. She had a talent for crocheting and a racy sense of humor. Just by being in our lives, she made them better and her influence will continue. Therefore, so will she. A celebration of life service will be held on Sunday, November 9, 2025 at 3:00 pm at Companion Funeral Home - The Cleveland Chapel with Pastor Clarence Gammill officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm prior to the service. A graveside service is to follow at Mount Olive Church of God Cemetery. You are invited to share a personal memory of Devonna or your condolences with her family at her online memorial located at www.companionfunerals.com. Companion Funeral Home of Cleveland and the Cody family are honored to assist the family with these arrangements.
