Bob and Emily Gaskill
September 11, 2024
My husband and I have known Dewayne (and Nancy) for many many years. Dewayne and I collaborated on many choral arrangements (with oboe or English horn) at Brentwood United Methodist Church, where Dewayne would accompany the women´s choral ensemble under my direction. Through that professional relationship, my husband and I developed a personal relationship with Dewayne and Nancy. We have enjoyed getting together through the years and have especially enjoyed attending the annual Whitland Ave. Fourth of July celebration in Nashville, where Dewayne was instrumental in creating and maintaining the orchestra for the event since its inception many years ago. Dewayne is a loving, caring, warm and delightful individual. We will miss him very much. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Nancy and the rest of the family during this difficult time. Sincerely, Emily and Bob Gaskill

The news of Mr. Pigg´s (Dewayne Pigg) passing hits hard. How do you convey how much a person has meant to you? Not only as a teacher but someone who is on the level with your parents whose belief in you pushes and encourages one to do better, be better, inspires one to keep facing the challenges and continues to be there for you.
He is a teacher, mentor, champion & friend to me and so many.
Our hearts go out to you Nancy Pigg, your children, grandchildren & great grandchildren. Thank you for sharing him with us as well as welcoming us into your circle. We love you.
