DEWITT BROOKS

I grew very fond of Mr. Brooks and will always remember what a fine man he was. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Jeff and family, my most sincere condolences. Mr. Brooks never met a stranger and welcomed all who passed through the doors of his home. Always the friend. Always witty and one of the sharpest people I have ever met.

I remember as if it were yesterday, his son Jeff drug me home for a holiday break during college almost 35 yrs ago. I was in awe of Mr. B as being one of the most classy men I've ever met. As we all know, an acorn does not fall far from the tree and he passed along his great traits to his wonderful children. I am lucky and blessed to have had the chance to meet and know Mr. B. I am most sure he is already working on an ad campaign and jingle for God.

My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort.

Dudley and I are very saddened to learn of Brook's passing. He was most certainly the epitome of ' A hail fellow well met". We will miss him and we extend our sincerest sympathies to Jean and the family.

I can't decide which is my favorite picture. Although I remember that 25th anniversary party well, as a Wahoo I am partial to the one on the steps of the Rotunda. Sending blessings to all of you - pockets of grace and moments of joy - as you reflect and remember a storied life.

No man has ever been loved more by his family and devoted bride. Mr. B. had too many accomplishments to name them all in a short space, but his biggest one in my eyes is the family that he raised and guided to adulthood. He instilled values and reverence...and he lived by example. He had much to proud of, which is why all of you have so much to be proud of him. Mr. B. was the type of person that...once you met him,you would never forget him! I know I never will! My love to all the Brooks family at this difficult and challenging time of loss. May you all find joy in your memories of him,as I will.
