Diana Forden

Diana Forden, 77, of Mt. Auburn, IL, passed away at Taylorville Care Center on March 29, 2026. She was born on April 25, 1948, in Decatur, IL, to Loren and Joann (Hayes) Young. On June 29, 1996, she married Glenn Forden at the Grace United Methodist Church in Decatur. They spent many beautiful years together and were blessed with three children.

Diana had a heart of gold and dedicated her life to caring for others. She worked as a CNA for 30 years, and 20 years as a hospice CNA. Working in hospice came with great difficulty, but Diana cared deeply for others and showed much grace, kindness, and support to her patients and their families. Above all, she loved her family immensely and was happiest when surrounded by her loved ones.

She is survived by her loving husband: Glenn Forden of Mt. Auburn, IL; her children: William (Cindy) Hagler; Angela; Brent (Lori) Forden; and Julie Kramer of; grandchildren: Claire and Emma Forden; Jesse and Alex Cramer; siblings: Tom Young of Texas; Judy Deaton of Decatur, IL; as well as Nancy Holt of Nashville, TN.

She was preceded in death by her father, Loren Young.

Per the family's wishes, cremation rites have been accorded, and no services will be held at this time.
