Diana was raised in a loving family, the daughter of the late Hannelore and Thomas Gandy. Her brother, Henry Gandy of Spicewood, Texas, survives her, along with numerous cousins in the United States and Germany. She was predeceased by her brother, Tommy Gandy. Diana's family was her foundation, providing her with the strength and support that shone through in her interactions with everyone she met.
A proud Texan, Diana graduated from a Houston high school before earning her Bachelor's Degree from the University of Texas in Austin. Her education was a testament to her intellect and determination, qualities that would serve her well throughout her life and career.
Diana spent many fulfilling years as a flight attendant for Delta Airlines, a role that perfectly suited her adventurous spirit and love for people. Fluent in English and German, she was frequently assigned to international flights to Europe.
