Diana Virginia Grigsby, 85, of Sperryville, VA, passed away on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at Poplar Hill Health and Rehab. She was born April 19, 1940, to the late Paul and Pauline Estep in Mount Jackson, VA.
She devoted 27 years to working at The Emporium in Sperryville, where she greeted everyone she met with a warm smile and a kind word. Later in life, she became a caregiver, opening her heart to others with compassion and love. She found joy in gardening, tending to her flowers and plants with care. She especially loved cooking for her family during the holidays, filling her home with the comforting aromas of her favorite dishes. In her free time, she enjoyed peaceful drives down the back country roads, taking in the simple beauty of the world around her.
Diana is survived by her six children, Charles Grigsby (April), Jerry Grigsby (Linda), Donna Cave (Bruce), Lois Thomas (Jerry), Vincent Grigsby (Jenny), and Crystal Galloway (Justin); 10 grandchildren, Amy, Stephanie, Jerry Lynn, Brian, Robin, Jonathan, Ryan, Nicholas, Jackson, and Chloe; 14 great grandchildren, Shawn, Megan, Emily, Lee, Garrett, Ethan, Tyler, Bella, Rebecca, Max, Lexie, Lincoln, Terran, and Amari; four great-great grandchildren; sisters, Joann Phillips, Babara Ann Kaplinger, and Pammy Sue Fuga; brother, Kenny Estep; nephew, Mitchell Estep; niece, Renee Walker; and a host of additional friends and family.
In addition to her parents, Diana was preceded in death by both her husbands, Charles Grigsby and Minor Dodson; brothers, Larry, Harry, Eddie, Jean, Joe, Charles, and Dennis; and sisters, Gayetta, Dolly, Nancy, and Beatrice.
The family will receive friends on Friday, November 7, 2025, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel of Culpeper, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel of Culpeper with Joel Cress officiating.
Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Rt. 522, Culpeper, VA.
Pallbearers serving the family will be Shawn Dodson, Lee Cash, Maxwell Cave, Terran Cave, Ryan Grigsby, and Nicholas Grigsby.
Honorary Pallbearers serving the family will be Jonathan Thomas, Jerry Lynn Grigsby, and Brian Cave.
