Diana "Nina" Hidalgo, age 84, passed away peacefully on November 26, 2025, in Canton, Texas. Born on August 14, 1941, in Brackettville, Texas, she lived a vibrant and spirited life that touched the hearts of many.

A self-employed beautician by trade, Nina had a lifelong passion for hair and makeup. She was known for always dressing to impress-her impeccable style matched her artistic flair and joyful personality.

Nina had a deep love for Ford Mustang cars; it was the only car she ever drove. She had both an eye and a feel for them, and her enthusiasm for Mustangs became one of her most defining traits. Whether cruising down the road or sharing stories with loved ones, she brought energy and laughter wherever she went.

She is lovingly remembered by her daughter Tammy Cromer; sisters Helen Trussell and husband Roberto Ramirez; sister-in-law Joyce Hidalgo; brothers Paul Hidalgo Sr. and Peter David Rios; grandson Josh Cromer; two great-grandchildren; and a large host of extended family members who cherished her deeply.

Nina was preceded in death by her parents, Saturnino "Tony" Hidalgo and Hortencia "Tina" Perez Rios; her daughter Kitty Elaine Cromer; and her brother Abel Hidalgo.

A free-spirited soul with a gentle heart, Nina was always a joy to be around. Her quick wit and endless jokes brought smiles to those fortunate enough to know her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, creativity, and unforgettable style.

May her memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved her.
