Diana Marie Jay

Diana Marie Jay of Macomb passed away March 4, 2022 at the age of 74.
Diana was born on October 28, 1947 to Rosario and Angela Cassisi in Detroit, Michigan. On June 23, 1967 she married David Jay at St. Margaret Catholic Church in Roseville, Michigan. Diana loved to be surrounded by nature. She never missed an opportunity to see a beautiful night sky or feel the warm sun on her face. Diana enjoyed listening to music and dancing whenever and where ever she could. She had a kind, gentle soul that everyone gravitated to, even animals, and she loved everyone and every creature in return. Casino trips were always up on Diana's list of fun things to do. She made sure her family was taken care of, especially her husband David. Diana was devoted to her family and nothing brought her joy like spending time with them for special events and holidays, especially Christmas. Her passing has left a void in the hearts of all who knew her and she will be greatly missed by her loving family and dear friends.
Beloved wife of David; cherished mother of David (Sara) and Gina (Bernice Hopp); loving grandmother of James, Grace and Noah; devoted sister of Ben (Sandy), Nancy (George) Figlioli, Mary (Gene) Glaeser, Joe (Vickie), the late Russell and the late Anthony.
The visitation for Diana will take place on Monday, March 7, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a 7 p.m. Rosary at Hauss-Modetz Funeral Home, 47477 Romeo Plank, Macomb. The funeral service will take place at 10:00 a.m. with an instate time of 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at the funeral home. Diana will be laid to rest in Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Jude Children Research Hospital.
