Diana Marie Loomis, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully on November 7, 2025, at the age of 67. Born on January 19, 1958, in Cobleskill, New York, Diana lived her life as a devoted servant to the Lord, embodying kindness, love, and grace in all her dealings.
Diana was a cherished member of her family, celebrated for her warmth and caring spirit. She was married to her devoted husband, Daniel Dewitt Loomis, for 46 wonderful years. Together, they nurtured a beautiful family that included their three daughters, Stephanie Ruth Burkhardt and her husband Bryon, Naomi Marian Loomis, and Rachel Marie Loomis. Diana's love extended to her grandson, Landon Thomas Burkhardt, who brought her immense joy.
Her vibrant personality shone through in her many hobbies and interests. Diana had a passion for crocheting, showcasing her craftiness with each stitch she made. She found joy in simpler pleasures, often immersed in playing games on her phone—Solitaire and matching games were among her favorites. In her downtime, she enjoyed watching YouTube videos, particularly those that introduced new culinary delights.
Diana was also deeply connected to her siblings: brothers Frederick Lawrence Schumacher, John Emmett Schumacher, Paul Anton Schumacher, and Matthew Jeremy Schumacher with his wife Maria Teresa, and sisters Kathleen Ann Roberti and her husband Chris, and Marjorie Caroline Coffin. The love shared among them and their families formed a cherished bond that remained strong throughout her life.
Though Diana will be profoundly missed by her family, her legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her father, John Anton Conrad Schumacher Jr., mother, Ruth Schumacher Winnie, brother, Steven Michael Schumacher, and sister, Sandra Lee Bailey. These family members welcomed her with open arms into eternal rest.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at 11:00 AM, at the Security First Baptist Church in Cleveland, Texas. Family and friends are invited to join in honoring the memory of Diana, reflecting on the love and laughter she brought into their lives.
As we remember Diana Marie Loomis, let us carry forward her spirit of love, kindness, and faithfulness, ever grateful for the time we shared with such a remarkable woman.
