Diana Sue Reis, 74, of Quincy, Illinois, passed away surrounded by love, leaving behind a legacy of devotion, family pride, and a home that was always filled with warmth and beauty. Diana was born on September 25, 1951, in Quincy, Illinois, to Charles and Jacqueline Davis.
On May 8, 1971, she married the love of her life, who she met at 12 years old, Daniel Reis, at Trinity Church in Quincy. Together, they built a life rooted in loyalty, adventure, and deep family connection. Diana proudly embraced the role of a Marine Corps wife, traveling across the United States alongside Danny during his service, making each place feel like home through her grace and strength.
Diana and Danny were blessed with two daughters, Jennifer Linn Gordley and Reagan Sue Costigan, who were the center of her world.
No one took greater pride in creating a beautiful home than Diana. She had a true gift for home décor-tasteful, elegant, and always seasonal. If you visited often, chances are the furniture had moved since the last time you were there. She decorated for every season and holiday, but Christmas was her favorite, and she was often told she should have decorated professionally. Her home reflected who she was: warm, welcoming, and filled with love.
Diana and Danny cherished their time on the Emerald Coast, spending many Septembers and Octobers in Destin, Florida, a tradition that later became even more special when their daughters joined them, creating treasured memories as a family of four. In time, grandchildren also made the trip to enjoy the beach with Grandma and Grandpa. In recent years, Diana and Danny began wintering in Panama City Beach, where they found a new favorite place to relax and enjoy life together.
Diana is survived by her husband of nearly 55 years, Daniel Reis; her daughters, Jennifer (Scott) Gordley and Reagan (Chris) Costigan; and her brother, Mike Davis. She is also survived by her grandsons, Dane (Hannah) Gordley and Camden Gordley; her granddaughters, Sawyer Costigan and Elliott Costigan; and her great-granddaughter, Navy Gordley. Additionally, her brother-in-law, Ron Rees; her sisters in-law, Sue Reis and Maggie Reis; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Jacqueline Davis; her sister, Jeri Rees; her sisters in-law, Darlene Williams, Gayle Reis, and Sharon Kuhlman; and her brothers in-law Bob Reis, Gail Williams, Rich Reis, Gary Reis, and Steve Reis.
Cremation is under the direction of O'Donnell-Cookson Life Celebration Home. Per Diana's wishes, no formal services will be held at this time.

Diana will be missed. Eventhough she was my cousin, I thought of her as the sister I never had. She would command a room just by entering with her smile and sense of humor...and oh that giggle that she owned. We were blessed to have known and loved her. R.I.P Diana

I was so shocked to hear Diana passed. From grade to school friends, to High School friends. Diana was one of my bridesmaid at our wedding 55 years ago. We lost touch with each other over the years, but our paths crossed over Facebook. Danny We are so sorry for your lost. Sincerely., Dave and Sandi Fischer.
