Diana Lois Roy Burr, 84, passed away peacefully on January 16, 2025. Born on January 28, 1940, to Adras Roy and Hazel Laborde Roy, Diana was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who cherished spending time with her family above all else.
Diana's life revolved around her loved ones, and she found immense joy in the company of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her warmth, love, and unwavering dedication to her family will be deeply missed.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and staff at St. Dominic's Hospital and Arden Hospice for the excellent care and compassion they provided to Diana in her final days.
She is survived by her children: Jo Ann Burr LeVert (Ronnie), Cindy Burr Samford (Dennis), and Roy Gregory Burr (Monica). Diana also leaves behind her seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, along with her siblings, Elizabeth Carol Roy Ovale and John Michael Smith (Mary).
Diana is reunited in eternal peace with her beloved husband, Joe Burr; her son, Christopher Lee Burr; and her sisters, Eva Roy and Sadie Roy Hines.
A memorial service and burial will take place at her hometown church, St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Hessmer, Louisiana, at a later date.
Diana's love, strength, and kindness will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
