Diana Simas Obituary
Diana F. (Ellis) Simas, 72, of Central Pike, died Friday, April 22, 2011. She was the wife of Lawrence L. Simas for 50 years before his passing in 2006. Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Earl and Irene (White) Ellis. She was a Scituate resident for 51 years.
She was the mother of Cheryl Hicks, Diana Hicks, Karen Gaffney, Lauren Ready and Lynne Simas all of Scituate, Susan Ganz of Warwick, and Jacquelyn Jolin of Brooklyn, CT. She was the sister of Eleanor Perrino, Virginia Perry, Earl Ellis, Jr. and Dale Ellis. Grandmother of 16 and great-grandmother of 8.
Her funeral service will be held Tuesday at 10am in Trinity Episcopal Church, 251 Danielson Pike (Rte.6) North Scituate. Relatives and friends invited. Burial will be in Phillips Memorial Cemetery, Foster. Visiting hours and flowers respectfully omitted, memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701 will be appreciated.
