Diana was a loving mother of three children, Daniel Villarreal, Norma Peterson (Paul) and Gloria Villarreal. Beloved grandmother of eight grandchildren, Rachelle Latham (Steve), Jessica Rost (Bethany), Joanna Villarreal, Sarah Villarreal, Katie Villa (Jesse), Kodie Villarreal, Selena Villarreal, and Alex Peterson, as well as many cherished great grandchildren.
Diana worked at Rush-Copley Medical Center in Radiology for many years and Jewel. Following retirement, she enjoyed cooking for her family, sewing, gardening, going to the casino, eating out at Taco Bell and doing crossword puzzles.
The family will not be hosting a memorial service and shared an intimate celebration of life privately that will be cherished forever.

My sincere condolences to Dan and your entire family. While I never actually met your Mom, Laurie and Kelly both had wonderful memories of her. I always looked forward to the times when Laurie would spend the day with Diana making tamales, as I was certainly going to reap the rewards! And Kelly remembers sitting at the kitchen table eating homemade tortillas with sour cream. She said Diana always made her feel like she was "just another member of the family". I know you will all miss her terribly. May your memories bring you comfort.
