Diane Altemus

Diane Carolyn Altemus, 88, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on December 26, 2025, at Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center. A resident of Ashland, Oregon, she was the daughter of Lawrence J. Korrell and Anita Fertig who raised her in Cleveland, Ohio, where she was born.
Diane was a true social butterfly whose warmth and kindness touched everyone she met. She absolutely loved dressing up for holidays (any holiday!) and spread joy with her singular flashy style. She was beloved in both her assisted living community and her church family, where her presence every Sunday was a cherished constant. Whether gathered around a card table with friends or connecting with neighbors, Diane had a gift for making people feel valued and seen.
Her generous spirit and genuine love for people created lasting friendships wherever she went, from Ohio to Florida, Utah to Oregon. She found joy in life's simple pleasures and shared that joy freely with others.
Diane is survived by her loving son, Jeff, and her beloved nephew, Jeremy, who will forever treasure her memory.
